Hi! I am so thankful you are here!

I’m Alyssa and I am a wife and mom of three (Cyrus (8), River (4) , and Willa (0)). I thrive on a healthy balance of both rhythm and spontaneity. I am a lover of sunshine and the outdoors, early morning runs, golden hour photo seshes, and cozy mornings at home.

A couple of years ago, we decided to pull our oldest out of public school and began our homeschool journey. We’ve faced lots of ebbs and flows along the way, but I truly cherish the extra time I get at home with my kids.

I started this blog years ago when our best friends lived in the house behind us. My parents live next door and the yard between the three of us quickly became sacred ground for our times together. The name “The Space We Share” was birthed out of the physical space connecting each of us and for years the three of us shared our stories of home renovations, foster care, and daily life lived together.

A couple of years ago, our tribe disbanded when God called our best friends to Colorado. We still dream of what it would look like to be neighbors again someday, planning a future life where there’s a spot for each of us at the dinner table. But until then, we live in this far less transient space, held together by hearty prayers and airplane tickets.

The Space We Share is an invitation to partake in my own stories, ones I hope you find both relatable and inspiring. My desire is that you would walk away having fallen a little more in love with your own story, seeing the beauty where you once saw only rubble. This is my call to reclaim some of that childlike wonder, to breathe magic back into the day-to-day, and to choose gratitude in a world drowning in anxiety and discontentment.

Today is a gift. And I want my life to scream “thank you” to the One who gives only good.
